If you find yourself looking for a more thorough review in your GMAT prep, Varsity Tutor can sign you up for a Tampa GMAT course. With the Graduate Management Admission Test, or GMAT, being one of the biggest challenges you will face along your journey to business school, it can be daunting to take on alone. The additional assistance that a Tampa GMAT course provides can help give you a more adequate review than one you might find on your own.
If you are a student or working professional preparing to take this test, the collaborative online GMAT classes offered by Varsity Tutors could be an excellent opportunity to gain further insight into what you are coming up against. A Tampa GMAT class will help you with further understanding of the layout and content of the test. With each of the four sections of the test having their own unique formats and time limits, this insight can prove to be most beneficial.
Your score on the GMAT will be used by admissions in MBA programs, such as the one at the University of South Florida, to determine how well you may perform in the courses offered there. For this reason, reaching for your top potential is important. A Tampa GMAT prep course can help elevate your current studies and give you a more in-depth review to help prepare you for the exam.
What can a Tampa GMAT course help me study?
The GMAT is made up of four sections and lasts around 3.5 hours. The sections are made up of Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, Integrated Reasoning, and the Analytical Writing Assessment. A Tampa GMAT course can help you prepare for the different formats presented in each of these sections and the skills you will need to answer the questions confidently. The questions will be made up of multiple-choice and essay formats, and each section has its own time frame.
The Quantitative Reasoning section has 31 multiple-choice questions to be answered in 62 minutes or less. The questions are made up of problem-solving and data sufficiency tasks that will test your reasoning, math, and general knowledge skills. This section will provide insight into how well you can analyze problems and identify the data provided to solve the problem.
In the next section, Verbal Reasoning, you will be given 65 minutes to answer 36 multiple-choice problems that will follow short passages. The questions will be a combination of reading comprehension, critical reasoning, and sentence correction. These questions will challenge your knowledge of logical relationships between statements, quantitative concept development, evaluating arguments, forming an action plan, and identifying proper grammar and sentence structures.
In the Integrated Reasoning section, you will be faced with 12 multifaceted problems that you have 30 minutes to complete. Many of these problems require more than one response, and the problems will test your data organization, information evaluation, and information synthesis skills. You will be asked to use multi-source reasoning, table analysis, two-part analysis, and graphic interpretation to answer these problems.
The exam also includes the Analytical Writing Assessment, which gives you 30 minutes to read and evaluate a provided argument and then plan and write a comprehensive response. This section will assess your quality of writing, expressed thoughts, idea organization, and command of the written word. You will be expected to organize and fully develop your ideas and provide relevant support and examples into your argument.
How would a Tampa GMAT class work for me?
Whether you are a student preparing to enter a program, such as the MBA program at the University of Tampa-John H Sykes College of Business, or a working professional, you are sure to have a busy schedule already. That is why new Tampa GMAT classes start weekly and offer convenient two- or four-week sessions to join. You can start as soon as you find the right fit for you. The added convenience of being completely virtual means you will save even more time avoiding a commute to attend your study session. Each class is taught by a highly qualified instructor and brought to you through a live virtual platform. You will have opportunities to ask questions and also get additional one-on-one time with the instructor if you need some additional clarification on any sections.
Working in a group setting also gives you the opportunity to get different study ideas from the group. This is a great way to deepen your understanding of the sections and increase your information retention. Perhaps one of your peers has a better way of looking at the outline construction for the Analytical Writing Assessment or can help you find a better way to use the multiple sources of data in the Integrated Reasoning Section. Your instructor may also have some great ideas on eliminating the least likely answers on the multiple-choice questions or setting up practice exams to work through as a group to evaluate your time management. With a Tampa GMAT course, you will have the opportunity to go through each section in depth and gain more clarity with a more comprehensive review. You can also gain study skills to use for any future academic challenges you may face.
How can I get started in a Tampa GMAT prep course?

I graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC in 2008, the oldest English speaking acting conservatory in the world. I graduated Summa from University of St Thomas with a BA in English, and just wrapped up a MS in Data Science from Northwestern. I'm a huge Red Sox fan and love watching detective shows when I have free time.... Positivity. Always. I believe that if a student is given positive tools and is allowed to understand the material rather than be lectured at, they're more likely to do well in the future.
