We worked on word problems and multiple-choice strategies for the student's upcoming exam, mostly on consumer and producer surpluses, price elasticity of demand and supply, and normal/ inferior/ complement/ substitute goods. The concepts that the student and I covered today were subsidies, taxes, tariffs, deadweight loss, producer surplus, consumer surplus, price ceiling, quantity demanded/ supplied/ traded, and market equilibriums. She seems to understand the basic microeconomic concept. Her attitude was always a positive one while the material was reviewed. We reviewed the student's quiz for his financial planning class that was about insurance and making sure a client has the proper insurance coverage. He did okay on the quiz and took his time to make sure he understood each question. We then moved on to a remaining portion he had on his assignment for his strategy class. It included a detailed assignment around a case study for a company. He did a great job at reading through the material and making sure he knew what the assignment was asking before proceeding with the questions.
