I'm an undergrad at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, in the Pre-Engineering program working toward a major in Computer Engineering. I have done coursework in CS, Math and Physics. I have previously been a course assistant for the introduction to computer science class at my university, where I held office hours to help students with problems.

Dear student or parent, welcome to my tutoring profile! I offer over 10 years of experience in advanced science and mathematics. I am a recent graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where I honed my skills in STEM while earning my Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. I would welcome the opportunity to help you or your child reach their academic goals.

I believe students have trouble learning material when they haven't had the opportunity to connect it to their lives personally. I focus on enabling students to develop effective study habits and working out problems on their own, with guidance as necessary.

I look forward to see my students get from the point of being lost to the uh-huh moment. I specialize in math based subjects where I enjoy to see how simple math and in some cases - a little complex :) can solve world problems from economics to engineering , etc. I believe that once students realize the application of math in real life, they will strive to become excellent in the subject.

I enjoy conversations with people who comes from different backgrounds. Teaching is a tool for me to enjoy this and share my story and knowledge with others. I'm an outdoor guy but do like staying inside sometimes and spending time on movies and books. Cooking for sure is my hobby too because I'm quite a foodie. I look forward to sharing my story and knowledge with you.

...you memorize a formula or a grammatical rule, you can remember it for the test, but you'll forget it a week later. If you learn why that formula or that rule exists and why it works, you'll retain that information for far longer and can rediscover and recall it much more successfully down the line. Academics aside, I love to tell jokes, write funny poetry, play chess, go skiing and hiking, and swing dance.

My name is Sparsh Gupta and I am an incoming medical student at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. I recently finished graduate school in Classics, which is the study of Latin and ancient Greek. Prior to that point, I taught high school Latin for two years.
