I'm a sophomore at Harvard studying Applied Math, Economics, and Computer Science. I've tutored in a variety of subjects throughout high school and currently work part-time as a Course Assistant for an Introductory Calculus course at Harvard. I especially love tutoring math and making it a more accessible subject for students to learn. Aside from academics, I'm passionate about community service (I'm a director for a student-run homeless shelter!), music, digital design, and baking!

I am therefore fluent in German, am well versed in the requirements of English language writing and in research skills. I have experience teaching children and adults, and I'm excited to share my knowledge with all of you!

I am most excited about helping other students achieve their dreams of going to medical school by helping them study for the MCAT. Besides MCAT tutoring, my favorite subjects are chemistry, biology, and math which are all subjects I have tutored in before. Outside of teaching, I like to perform in musicals, most recently I have been in local productions of Mamma Mia and Footloose, as well spend time with friends.

I am a junior at the University of Illinois at Chicago Honors College, where I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering with a focus in cell and tissue engineering. During high school, I worked in the literacy center, where I tutored fellow classmates and helped them with any classes that they were having trouble with. I enjoy tutoring because I acknowledge the two-way nature of it. Not only does tutoring help a tutee learn certain material, it also helps me master some old concepts. While I tutor a variety of subjects, one of my favorites is mathematics. I love teaching this subject because its concrete and builds problem-solving skills. I am a big fan of sports and music with golf and rock music being my favorites from each of those. I am a guitar player as well and it is my favorite instrument, so I love to talk about my favorite guitarists and I will listen to anything with a guitar in it. I love to watch most sports, but basketball is a close second behind golf, and I root for the Chicago sports teams. As a University of Illinois graduate, I am an Illini fan despite the struggles that come with it. Finally, I am a dedicated follower of the Flash and Arrow on CW, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Batman so I am always looking for someone to get excited about the latest episodes or movies with.

I am a 2019 graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. There, I received my Bachelor's of Science in Biomedical Sciences and Psychology. Currently, I am an optometry student at SUNY College of Optometry in Manhattan, NY. In my previous roles of statistics tutor and anatomy teaching assistant at Marquette, I enjoyed being both a mentor and friend to my students. Each day was a learning experience for me as much as it was for them, and I felt as though my impact extended far beyond the classroom. This is paralleled in how I intend to utilize my training to play the role of not only a healthcare provider to my future patients, but an educator. I find it immensely important to inform patients of the medicine and technology that can be adapted towards their visual impairments.

My teaching style is simple I make sure students fully understand the basics, then guide them step by step to solve problems on their own.
