Varsity Tutors can help you work towards your goal of earning a graduate degree by supporting your efforts as you prepare to take the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) with one of our Charlotte GMAT preparation offerings. Have you been working on building a professional portfolio and the next step is enrolling in a graduate program at UNC Charlotte - Belk College of Business? Or maybe you just received your bachelor's degree and now want to work towards your master's degree at Wake Forest University - Schools of Business - Charlotte Campus. Either way, you will need to do well on a graduate admissions exam like the GMAT.
The GMAT is considered the gold standard of graduate admissions tests for good reason. More than 50 years ago some of the top business schools in the country brought their top experts to the table to create an examination that would accurately evaluate the potential of business school candidates. They chose the skills which were necessary to succeed in an advanced academic setting and business. The exam has been revised over the years as skills and technology change to ensure it remains relevant and a powerful indicator of success.
If you are preparing for this critical examination, it is crucial that you give yourself the academic support you will need to prepare for it thoroughly. You don't want to spend the weeks before the test looking around online or asking a friend of a friend what worked for them. You need expert guidance to work towards achieving your scoring goals that one of our Charlotte GMAT prep solutions can provide.
What can Charlotte GMAT prep cover?
When you take the GMAT your skills will be tested in four key areas: Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, Integrated Reasoning, and an Analytical Writing Assessment. You will only have a little more than three hours to make your way through all parts of the test and convince those who review your scores that you have what it takes to thrive in business school. It's important to note, however, that each segment of the test has its own time constraints and that they are not evenly distributed. If you finish one section early, you are not given additional time on another you may find more personally challenging. Because of this, it is more important than you may realize to become very familiar with not only the content of the exam but also the format in which it is given. You need to prepare yourself to work under the pressure of a deadline.
Some of the individual concepts you will need to be familiar with include critical reasoning, proper grammar for sentence corrections, tasks and writing, reading comprehension, identifying and evaluating relevant data, and a wide variety of math and writing skills. There is a lot of information you need to master to do well on the GMAT. If you miss something important in your study preparations, it can be disastrous for your score. By working with learning professionals, you are more likely to be exposed to all areas of the GMAT and can have greater success effectively working towards achieving your scoring goal.
