In this session, the student and I first went over the structure of the online class he would be needing help with. His analysis skills on passages are good.
We used a previous writing assignment to write a new paper. We spent time brainstorming arguments for the topic and developing these arguments. We also started to work on the introduction for the paper and the thesis statement. We will continue working on this paper next week. I also told the student that I will look for writing topics for college freshman writing classes so that we can use them to develop more papers.
