Hi! I'm Dylan and I'm excited to be tutoring you! I am studying Computer Science at Bethel University and I worked as a tutor for Math and Reading at Kumon Learning Center for a couple years. I try to be as concise as possible when working with my students and do my best to make sure that they understand the concepts of the material being taught.

I love working with students of all ages. It brings me great joy to watch students learn new things and persevere through challenges. I taught dance since I was 12 years old. After graduating from college, I began subbing for school districts and loved teaching education too so I began working on my master's. I subbed in an elementary school and now have my teaching licenses for middle school science and high school chemistry. I graduated with two Bachelor's degrees in Microbiology and Modern Dance from the University of Oklahoma and am pursuing my Master's in Teaching from Bethel University expected Fall 2026. I tutor middle school science, high school chemistry and dance as well as lower levels of Latin and skills for the ACT. I love science. I have always had a passion for that subject since I was in school so I also look forward to teaching science to my students. My teaching philosophy is anything is possible. The students can get so bogged down by various things and I want them to see the fun in learning new things despite the challenges. I tutor students in different ways to keep them on their toes. Outside of academia, I enjoy spending time with my dogs and reading. I love doing various kinds of crafts like sewing, crocheting, and painting.
I believe that education should be student-centered and student-focused in order to enrich each child's learning. I seek daily to do that with my classroom instructions.
As a dedicated educator with a Master's degree in Special Education from Bethel University, I have over 5 years of experience in tutoring and classroom settings, currently teaching in Minnesota. My specialty lies in Elementary School Math, where I employ a hands-on, student-centered approach to foster a genuine love for learning. I believe in creating a supportive environment that encourages curiosity and resilience, helping each student discover their unique strengths. My passion for tutoring stems from witnessing the transformative power of education, and I strive to make math accessible and enjoyable for all my students. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy reading and exploring new educational strategies, which continually enrich my tutoring practices.
As an experienced educator, I design my online tutoring sessions to help students feel confident, capable, and truly supported. I create personalized lessons that build on your child's strengths while addressing areas where they need extra help. My goal is to make learning clear, engaging, and enjoyable. Each session is interactive and structured. I use visuals, modeling, guided practice, and real-time feedback to keep your child focused and successful. I also adapt my instruction based on how your child learns best, whether they need support with reading, math, writing, or overall confidence. Family communication is important to me. I keep parents informed, share strategies to use at home, and celebrate every bit of progress. You will always know what your child is working on and how they are growing. Most of all, I tutor because I love helping students succeed. When children feel encouraged and supported, they thrive, and I am committed to making that happen for your child.
Hi, I'm Laura Voth! I'm a senior right now at Bethel studying biochemistry. Science is so fascinating to me and I love looking at the ways that chemical interactions work in our bodies. In my free time I enjoy reading, crafting, and swing dancing.
I graduated from Rush University Medical college in 2021 and am currently an intern at Washington University in St. Louis/Barnes Jewish Hospital. I received my Bachelor of Science at Bethel University in St. Paul, MN with a Biochemistry/Molecular Biology major and Psychology minor. Growing up in a household of teachers and being a collegiate swimmer, I understand both educational/learning theory, how to personalize lessons to the learner, test taking strategies and time management skills. I have extensive tutoring experience both as an individual tutor and group tutor in math/science and, of course, medicine. I have proven strategies that work for med school work as well as USMLE Step 1 and 2CK that I want to share! In my spare time, I enjoy staying fit through swimming, baking and exploring the many restaurants in Chicago.
Hello! My name is Abby. I'm a math teacher and I've taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry courses. I've dabbled a little bit in Trigonometry and can always support Middle School Math classes. I'm also licensed in ESL! I hope that my passion for math inspires you to want to learn more. I love explaining math step-by-step and connecting it to real world situations. If you're confused, studying or just wanting to know more - book with me!
I am a former high school math teacher with 9 years classroom teaching experience as well as 3 years of individual tutoring experience. I have a physics teaching degree with a minor in math from Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. I have a masters in education from Bethel University in McKenzie, TN. I have taught in 3 very different school settings throughout my career. I have taught algebra 1, algebra 2, integrated math 1, 2, and 3, IB math, and physics. I believe that all students CAN be successful in math and my goal is to help them realize their learning potential. My favorite thing about teaching/tutoring is when a student finally makes a connection and understands something that they previously were confused about. Seeing the lightbulb turn on and them begin to feel confident in their math abilities is why I do what I do.
I am a third-year student at Bethel University, studying to receive my Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education for grades 5-12. I have worked as a teacher's assistant for 5 semesters, and have been an individual tutor as well. I've always been passionate about learning and teaching, and never pass up an opportunity to help a friend out with their homework. I had the opportunity to observe a British secondary school during my study abroad term this past January, which I found to be an enjoyable and enlightening experience. I am a firm believer that education is of critical importance in both personal development and becoming an influential person in this world. In my free time, you could find me singing in Bethel's top choir, or talking with a friend over a cup of coffee.
I am a trained educator with a specialty in math education. Owing to my love for teaching and helping students to understand challenging math concepts, I researched into how mathematics ought to be taught during my doctoral studies in Minnesota. Helping students to excel in math has been my passion for several years. Student achievement and success is my focus so I do one-on-one lessons as well as small group sessions. I believe students need to experience the fun side of learning math without the usual math anxiety. Through cognitively-guided instructions (CGI), I show students other methods of learning math and arriving at the correct answers without sweat. I teach and tutor at all levels from K-12. Learning math should not be a struggle so in my lesson planning, I model how the work ought to be done, followed by having my students do some practice questions. I help my students to master the concepts before we move on. My lessons also provide for those who need differentiated instructions, in other words, teaching lessons tailored to fit the students' learning needs. My flexible schedule for after school learning activities provides some assurance to parents who like my teaching regimen. Feel free to schedule tutoring sessions with me on "Varsity Tutors" platform and together, we will work till you are comfortable with your progress and achievement. It will be a pleasure to have you as my student. I am certain you will enjoy my tutoring strategies because I endeavor to give students the concepts that will help them build mastery in math and be confident in their ability to pursue career paths that may require some level of knowledge in math. Students who intend to pursue college programs that require higher levels in math proficiency will also benefit from my tutoring lessons.
I recently graduated from Bethel University with degrees in Physics, Mathematics, and Music. During my time in college, I spent quite a bit of time tutoring my peers in group and individual settings, and I look forward to doing more tutoring, particularly in math and physics!
