My name is Jessica Cutino Herrera. While I was born in Cuba, I've spent most of my life in Canada. Growing up here, my Spanish was limited, and my connection to my culture wasn't as deep as I wanted it to be. Through high school and university, I worked hard to bridge this gap and discovered many ways to make language learning more effective and engaging.

Now, I'm passionate about helping others discover the beauty of the Spanish language and culture. My approach to teaching reading is centered on phonicsfocusing on letter sounds to build a strong foundation for literacy. For children as young as 3-4, I introduce 3 letters a day and create engaging activities to keep them excited about learning. I also incorporate their interests, such as favorite characters or hobbies, to ensure lessons are fun and interactive.
