I love learning! I love to see others enjoy learning! I count it a privilege and an honor to be a part of the community that helps each individual gain knowledge. Few things are more satisfying to me than being able to assist another being in a quest for knowledge and understanding.

I have over a decade of experience working with people of all ages, from various educational backgrounds, in both the public and private settings. I have helped students in elementary school, all the way to adult learners. I love math and am an avid reader and writer.

Q & A

What is your teaching philosophy?

Teaching should be done as individually as possible. We are extremely complex creatures. No two brains are the exact same. Therefore, no two people can be expected to learn things the exact same way.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

After introducing ourselves to each other, it would be necessary to learn a few things about the student. Doing so can unlock clues as to the best way to approach the learning process with that particular student.

How can you help a student become an independent learner?

Once a student has a greater level of confidence in his/her ability to grasp new ideas and concepts, learning takes on a whole different meaning. If I can get the student to that level of confidence, I believe independent learning is possible.
