I'm working towards my PhD in Marine Science at Stony Brook University (NY), doing research in the field of marine biogeochemistry. That's a bit of a mouthful, but basically it means I study the way living things interact with the chemistry of the ocean, and how that interaction gets recorded in mud and rock. Based on this expertise, I enjoy tutoring in general science, chemistry, and earth science.

I am confident in tutoring a wide-variety of subjects, science is my passion and I have a great love of biology. As a student, I always enjoyed learning most through examples and case studies, and when appropriate, I enjoy bringing in my research and patient experiences as a way to illustrate core concepts. Outside of academics, I was a wrestler for 17 years and enjoy sports, the outdoors, and studying history.
