I am a graduate of the Old Dominion University Teacher and Education Program. I have a Bachelors Degree in Education and have attended a lot of professional development for teaching since graduating. I have 9 years of experience in a classroom but have decided that I would like to continue my teaching on an online platform as I loved teaching virtually. My teaching philosophy is that all students can do anything they put their mind to with motivation and practice! I firmly believe in not saying the word 'can't' and using positive vibes to get to where we need to. I am passionate about making classes fun and engaging for whoever I am teaching by finding out about things they like and their personalities to connect learning to their world. My favorite subjects to tutor are art and math, quite opposite subjects but there are some similarities here and there. Outside of teaching and tutoring, I like to help others and keep busy during my own time. I love to create art and craft and also go on adventures. I am also a gamer and enjoy amazing storylines.

I am currently a Freshman at Franklin and Marshall College. I am a member of the women's lacrosse team and I intend to receive a dual degree in Business and Industrial Engineering. I have previously coached middle school level lacrosse, in addition to teaching elementary-age students about bullying and inclusiveness. I am a PhD student at Northeastern University getting a degree in population health. I graduated from George Washington University, with a master's in public health and did my undergraduate degree at the University of Richmond. I love to teach and hope to eventually teach at a university and do research.I have always enjoyed helping others learned. When I was little, I used to make my sister play teacher with me (she was always the student, poor thing). Now I enjoy tutoring students of all ages in a variety of subjects. My favorite subject to tutor is math because, unlike English, the rules always stay the same. I also enjoy tutoring for both the ACTs and the SATs. It is great to see a student's scores improve as we work on practice tests and the different skills that they need.In my free time I love to travel. In Oct. of 2014 I left the country for the first time to travel to Zambia, Africa to visit a friend living there. It was an incredible trip. We sat in the devil's pool at Victoria Falls (I recommend looking up a photo). We also went on a safari and had many other great adventures. Since then I have traveled to Italy (also wonderful) and hope to do some more international traveling soon.I also enjoy working with my hands, crocheting, sewing, knitting, and especially cooking. I read when I have the time, and love to listen to audio books in the car.

Recent OSU engineering graduate hoping to teach in Korea or pursue an MBA. I have previously tutored/TA-ed 200+ students in various STEM subjects as well as received tutoring myself and it helped me immensely throughout my educational experiences!

I received an undergraduate degree in Psychology with a focus in Neuroscience from Hunter College in Manhattan, New York. After college I went to medical school and received an MD from SUNY Upstate in New York. My favorite subjects to tutor are neuroscience, neurophysiology (I love the brain!), biology, and anything biology related. I worked as a Teaching Assistant in college, and also served as a teaching assistant during medical school, as well as taught medical students during residency. My teaching philosophy is really to identify each individual student's learning style and try to tailor my approach to that. Everyone learns differently, so I think it's best to avoid a one size fits all approach. I have been a student for most of my life! So I have had a lot of exposure to teachers and tutors with different styles and remembered what I liked about them, what worked, and what didn't. I think the best tutors and teachers that I have had were able to communicate clearly, adapt to their students and adjust their styles, and also had a passion for their subject that was infectious. I only tutor subjects that I love. Because if I'm bored by an area or not enthusiastic, how can I expect my students to be?Outside of academics, I like to watch movies (especially sci/fi fantasy), play video games, read, walk my dog, and travel.

Teaching students how to unlock their academic potential has always been a passion of mine. I have been tutoring various subjects for the past five years; specifically I have extensive training in tutoring Chemistry and Biology. While attaining my Bachelor’s Degree in Physiology from Seattle Pacific University, I worked as a college-level Chemistry tutor, Microbiology teaching assistant and a Homework Helper for Middle School Students. I also have experience in preparing students for large scale tests such as International Baccalaureate subject tests and the MCAT, both of which I have taken myself. I am a firm believer in the power of education and am continuing my educational journey as a Medical Student at University of Washington School of Medicine. My ultimate goal as a tutor is to give each of my students the confidence and tools necessary to succeed in any course or exam. Outside the classroom I enjoy dancing, cooking, exploring new parts of the city, and giving back to my community through volunteering.

I am currently attending Oberlin College of Arts and Science. My majors are Mathematics, Chemistry and Biochemistry and I plan on attending medical school right after graduating. I am a student athlete: part of the Swim and Dive team and the Track and Field team.It is my passion to help young kids exceed in the academic world through: help understand difficult concepts, create better studying skills, organize the work/thoughts when doing a specific problem and seeing how a student works and tell the parents what they can do to make sure their child succeeds.

I am a graduate of New Mexico State University. I received my PhD Degree with a focus on Engineering and Math. Since graduation, I have traveled extensively, tutoring students of different ages and different academic levels looking to improve their Engineering and Math knowledge.. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Engineering, Calculus, Trigonometry, Geometry, Linear Algebra and Algebra. In my experience helping struggling students prepare for Standardized Tests, we always seem to have the most fun (with remarkable advancements) prepping for the Critical math and science portions of the exams. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading that which enriches my life, yoga, running, and tennis.
