I was introduced to tutoring through a love of helping my friends succeed, and finding wonderful friends that helped me succeed. The feeling of understanding something is amazing, and the feeling of helping someone understand something is rewarding. Above all, I encourage critical thinking in everything I teach. Memorizing formulas and facts is good for short-term learning, but to truly understand a concept it is necessary to stimulate our minds to see patterns and connections.

I graduated Cornell University College of Engineering cum laude with honors, majoring in biological engineering.
