As a recent graduate with a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University, I have many years of informal experience in tutoring subjects such as Algebra, AP Calculus AB, and College Chemistry. I also have formal teaching experience in a classroom setting teaching communication and active listening skills to future young teachers. My passion for teaching stems from a desire to help students build strong foundational skills in math and science with a focus on problem-solving rather than just "plug and chug". I believe that understanding the basics is crucial for academic success, and I strive to create engaging learning experiences that encourage students to think critically and ask questions.
