I believe it is vital to engage students in their learning process actively. I also feel it necessary to meet each student where they are and bring them to their desired level through instructional methods that meet the student's learning style. My passion for wanting to help others achieve their academic goals is what drives me as an educator. I have eleven years of part-time teaching experience at the college level in psychology, organizational behavior, business communications, and first-year student seminars. I am most passionate about psychology and the freshmen seminars, as the material covered can be used in daily activities. Outside of the classroom, I have served as a mentor for numerous students who needed additional support in navigating their higher education experiences.

I possess a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baker University, a Master of Science in Psychology from Avila University, and currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Psychology from Grand Canyon University. I have worked in education for approximately sixteen years in various positions, which has provided me with invaluable experiences to help others achieve success.
