I am passionate about helping students because of the spark I see in their eyes when a concept they've been struggling with finally clicks.
I've taught intro-level biology and math classes to first-year college students to help them build a strong foundation for more complex material. I received my bachelor's degree in biological sciences from Ohio University and am currently working towards my PhD. in ecology from the University of Wyoming. My favorite subject to tutor is biology because it is the foundation of my career and interests. My teaching philosophy includes creating a safe and comfortable environment for students to learn and tailoring my teaching style to match the student's needs.
