Physics Tutoring review by David in San Diego, CA
For this session we began working on Newton's laws and the uses of his second law. We covered concepts such as tension and normal forces. The student learned very quickly and I am confident that she will have a strong grasp on the concepts by the end of the next session.

Physics Tutoring review by Yongqing in San Diego, CA
He has a physics test tomorrow on 2-D motion and vectors, and a pre-lab needs to be finished. So we went over his pre-lab first, which is a force-table experiment--using string pulling masses to illustrate the addition of force vectors and resultant and equilibrant. We then went over his textbook with him trying to explain the concepts to me, and I trying to clear things up when he has misconceptions. We then went over to apply those concepts to some problems. He had some rocky start, but finally had the "oh yeah!" moment. I shall look for ways to deliver this moment faster.

Physics Tutoring review by Matthew in San Diego, CA
We went through a good portion of the student's homework on Newton's Second Law. I helped him work on drawing free-body diagrams and setting up the equations, which is the hard part for these kinds of problems. Also, he got an A on his first test! He only missed one problem, so we talked through how to do it.

Physics Tutoring review by Kathleen in San Diego, CA
The student worked mostly on physics problems involving Newton's Second Law. She had no difficulties applying the equation f=ma for problems where two of the three variables were explicitly stated in the problem. She was able to complete her practice problems with minimal guidance.
