Hey! My name is Dane Lacey. I'm from the US, but currently studying in Germany. I have over three years of experience teaching and tutoring college-level mathematics. I have two dogs (Sawyer and Joey) and a cat (Kit).
My college experience started out taking concurrent enrollment classes while in high school. After I graduated high school, I taught in Zhongshan, China for four months. Then I returned home and finished my A.S. Mathematics at the same community college I took my concurrent classes through in High School. Right after that, I transferred to the University of Utah where I completed my B.S. Applied Mathematics. Now, I am working on a Ph.D. Mathematics while I travel around Europe with my family.
I am in love with the beauty of mathematics, and being able to help other people understand it! Being able to use programming to solve math problems is really cool, and being able to use math to solve programming problems is even better. But the absolute best part about my work (and sort of the end goal, in my mind) is being able to use math AND programming together to solve real-world problems and communicate this valuable information to others in an understandable way.
