My name is Noor Zanial and I am a first year Masters of Science student at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, specializing in Global Health and Population. I recently graduated from UCLA with a B.S. degree in Human Biology and Society and a minor in Global Health. I have an interdisciplinary educational background. I have taken extensive coursework in the sciences, humanities, and courses in the intersection of the two. I have also taken 2+ years of chemistry, biology, anatomy, etc. I hope to obtain my M.D. in the future and work towards a DrPH as well. In my free time, I love to explore the city, go to museums, national parks, and just adventure with my friends. But sometimes I like those quiet days reading about astrophysics in my free time!
When I interact with my students, they're more than just my students. I like to get to know you and what your goals are for your current class and academic career in general. I do not like to lecture at my students but rather engage with them in discussion and questioning to make sure that you fully comprehend the material to the point where you can go ahead and teach it to someone else if given the opportunity. What's the most important to me is to create a safe and productive environment that will help you achieve your goals. I can't wait to work you and get to know you!
