I recently graduated from college, with a degree in math. Personally, I love maths, because everything in math is logical, and maths is the most fundamental subject for a lot of things. Here are some of the classes I have taken: Calculus 1, 2, 3, Discrete Mathematics, Linear Algebra, Intro to Data Structures, Projective Geometry, Advanced Calculus, Abstract Algebra, Bayesian Data Analysis, etc. I have tutored colleges students in maths for more than two years now. I managed to explain and clarify math theories, address and keep track of each tutee's weak points and help them finish their class successfully. I also tutored Chinese in college; not only did I help the students understand the language but also the culture.

What is your teaching philosophy?
Each student is different, and has different habits. My job is to find the best way to help every single one of them.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
Assessment and evaluation! I need to get to know the student and figure out the best way to help.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
Not only should a tutor help with specific homework sets, a tutor should also help develop learning habits and strategies.
