I am a Medical Doctor completing my residency in Ophthalmology. I greatly enjoy working with patients but miss the opportunities to teach and tutor that I have had in the past. To me there is nothing more rewarding than helping a student approach a subject that they are struggling in, helping them tackle the tough material, then see them succeed, to me that is one of the greatest feelings in the world!!!After graduating from high school with a 4.1 GPA my grades and success in the ACT/SAT helped me earn a full academic scholarship, and I graduated with high honors from college in 3 years. After testing well on the MCAT I went directly to medical school and now am in residency.I tutor MCAT, ACT, SAT, and most subjects of the GRE. One unique tutoring ability that I can offer is help to pre med students in both planning you application, taking the MCAT, preparation of the application for med school, and med school interview prep.I have been blessed with great academic accomplishments, have learned how to do well on standardized tests, and now I want to use my approachability, enthusiasm, and teaching skills to help you succeed and accomplish your goals for the future. You can do it!

I am currently a student at University of South Florida doing a English major on the pre-med track. I know English is a weird major to do when you're going for the medical profession, but I love to write. I also love to travel mainly because I moved around a lot when I was younger. I was actually born in Zimbabwe and moved to Australia when I was seven. After two years I finally made it to America and I've been here since. Because of all my experiences, I have new perspectives and accept other perspectives as well. Especially since my family has the travel bug, I have seen many new things and have experienced many different cultures. This is why I believe learning is so fundamental. Because of all the things I've seen, I understand the world better and I'd like to share that passion with the students that I'll be tutoring. I believe learning can be fun as long as adventure and excitement are involved, and I would love to do that for my students .

My passion for helping people stems from watching someone work hard to accomplish a goal and then finally accomplish that goal. Whether it be retiring, buying a new home, landing a new job, or passing a big test. I am always striving to make an impact in those around me and to "Add Value" in any way possible.

I taught math and science for four years in Washington DC after graduating from UCLA in 2009. I loved teaching but last year I went back to school to complete a rigorous post baccalaureate program at Georgetown University to finish my pre-medical requirements. I am currently studying for the MCAT and applying to medial school. I relocated to Florida recently and I am eager to combine my newly acquired mastery of the science in subjects like organic chemistry, general chemistry, and genetics with my teaching background to help students excel in school. I have a teaching license and have worked with students of all ages; second grade through college!I believe that teachers have a profound impact on students opinions towards the subjects that they teach. Many of my former students came into my math and science classes with hesitation and left listing it as one of their favorite subjects. I specialize in teaching middle school math but I have experience teaching a wide range of ages and subjects. There is no better feeling for me as a tutor then to have a student not only excel but really begin to love the subject matter. I work hard to instill confidence and good study habits in all my students, ultimately helping them achieve in more than just the subject I am tutoring.

I am a Math and Physics teacher and I love teaching my subjects. I have done BSc Honours in Maths , BEd (the teaching degree) and MBA. I started my career in marketing (Advertising) in 1991 but soon, in 1993, changed to tutoring students and it has been a very satisfying experience since then. I also taught in school for many years. Currently I am tutoring Math to students from Grade 3- 10 and Physics to Grades 8-10 and enjoy it immensely. I like to make my subjects interesting and easy for my students so they find it fun to learn.

I am currently a Sophomore at the University of Tampa. I'm working on receiving my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in which I hope to become a Psychologist and eventually run my own private practice. My strong suits are in English (writing and grammar), Spanish (levels 1, 2, and conversational) and Psychology. All three topics are truly my favorites because they are the subjects that have always come easily to me, which makes me want to continue learning and teaching them to others. My passion for tutoring came from watching my mother interact with her elementary students for over ten years; I've seen her change their lives by trying to meet their own individual needs, which is something I strongly believe in. I think that each student is different in the way they learn, so it is important for tutors to adapt to each student along with providing the general knowledge of a subject. My hobbies and interests include reading, relaxing, baking, and spending time with friends when I have the downtime.

Lauren Wright, MSN, AGNP-BCIntegrating experience as a Nurse Practitioner & Researcher to design breakthrough Biome & Breastfeeding innovations. My PhD concentration was in psychoneuroimmunology, the study of how the brain, immune system, and nervous system talk to each other. My passionate advisor got me fascinated by breast milk as the most preventative, dynamic, biological substance to give babies the healthiest start in life. My dissertation was focused on understanding the relationship between maternal inflammatory factors, breast milk immune molecules [cytokines], and how they affect the preterm infant gut microbiome and health outcomes until 4 years of age. Realizing how crucial prolonging breastfeeding is, I set out to understand what pain points mothers had. This work led me to invent The Natural Nipple: a patented infant feeding solution designed to solve a primary barrier to breastfeeding so care-givers can introduce a bottle without consequential latching problems or fatal complications from unnatural flow rate reducing hospitals' length of stay cost while improving health outcomes for future generations. My hope is to combine my experience as a primary care Nurse Practitioner, Psychoneuroimmunology research, and founder to revolutionize adult gut health. In doing so I aim to help clients understand their signature microbiome and how to harness it to optimize their neurological, immune, and endocrine systems to increase energy and improve lifelong health!

For me, teaching is not only about helping students understand a curriculum, but it is also about patience, great communication being a good listener and understanding that each students has his/her own individualized needs that must be addressed by the tutor.During my undergraduate medical school years, I was passionate about the basic medical sciences taught in the first 2 years of college. I was passionate about the molecular events that occurred at the cellular level in the human body and how those events were revealed as a sign or symptom on a patient. I found this idea to be extra ordinary and decided that my future study or scientific research would be based on basic medical sciences. It was for that reason that after I successfully passed my USMLE exams and received my ECFMG certificate, I started to seek more basic molecular science knowledge by applying to the Master of science in medical sciences (Anatomy concentration) from the University of South Florida, Morsani college of Medicine where I received my degree in 2018. During that year of study, I became more passionate about molecular sciences especially cell biology. In the summer of that year I managed to do research on cell DNA and my research that resulted in a publication. After I graduated I applied to Professional science master in Biotechnology from University of South Florida, Morsani college of Medicine. My Master in Biotechnology showed me how molecular sciences were applied in real life research & development and in other applications that served humanity like vaccines especially during hard times like the Covid-19 pandemic. During my Master in Biotechnology, I managed to have another publication based on my study on bacterial toxins. I was also required to successfully finish an internship during the summer in a research and development lab and as part of my internship I was assigned to supervise and teach university students who volunteered in the lab. Nothing made me happier than hearing positive feedback from the students whom I supervised and taught. This notion helped me realize that I have what it takes to be a good tutor. My teaching strategy is that every student is different and each student will require a different approach and to determine that approach, patience along with ideal communication and adjusting my pace depending on the students needs will always be the key.

From personally struggling with many classes in the past, I've learned that pretty much anyone can learn and successfully pass a class with the rights tools and assistance. Some of the classes I tutor were very difficult for me when I took them, but using tutoring services and outside resources allowed me the ability to teach them to others.

I am a graduate of Florida State University and received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. During my time at Florida State I also took a number of classes relating to Biology and Graphic Design. I have a professional educator's certificate issued by the State of Florida Department of Education. I am endorsed in reading and ESOL. Since graduation, I have spent time being a 4th grade teacher of reading and social studies, helping to run a retail store, and traveling. During my time as a 4th grade teacher I also tutored students who needed extra help after school in reading, social studies, and FCAT prep. My favorite subject is reading, but I also love teaching math, science, and social studies. I am quite passionate about education and the opportunities that it can give people. In addition to tutoring, I am also an enrollment coordinator and education consultant for a school. When I am not working with students you can find me making art, going to live music events, playing rugby or soccer, reading, playing with my pets, or at the beach.
