My philosophy is to be patient and help the student become an independent learner (to tutor myself out of a job!). I especially enjoy helping students develop self-confidence through working through as much of the material as they can on their own, providing hints when they need them.

I was a postdoctoral fellow in astrophysics at the School of Earth and Space Exploration at Arizona State University. I ran and analyzed large scale galaxy formation simulations. I earned my Ph.D. studying star formation in self-gravitating turbulent fluids. The best moments in teaching are when the light bulb clicks on for the student as they understand how a system operates.

In the last 7 years, I have been working endlessly helping students, enabling them, restoring their foundations, in many youth organizations. For many hours a month I volunteer in teaching and outreaching to young adults and youth strengthening the future in South Texas Region.
