I am currently pursuing my Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. I love anything math and science related as well as Spanish, which I studied for 5 years from eighth grade until my senior year in high school. Along with Spanish, I have a real passion for calculus and physics. Aside from academics, I have logged more than 500 community service hours in various mission trips and local organizations that I have worked with throughout the years. I look forward to working with any and all students that decide to hire me as their tutor, and will make it my personal goal to see them grow into an individual that masters the material we work on!

I have been a tutor for over 8 years. I had a license to teach Biology in Indiana that has expired. I enjoy working one on one with students. I relish finding a way to get through to a student that is struggling in a subject (usually Algebra). I look forward to helping students retain knowledge over the summer as well as adding content during the school year.

I completed my Bachelor in Business with a concentration in Accounting from DeVry University. My plan is to start pursuing a MBA with a concentration in Finance later this year. I enjoy playing chess and golf. I am very competitive at both although I have been humbled more than a few times. I like to add fun and humor in just about every situation, when appropriate. Combine those traits with learning and we have creative platform for an exceptional learning environment.My tutoring strategy is to make learning fun and take the fright out of accounting. I want students to be able to use appropriate formulas when working problems. In addition, I like to show how this can be accomplished using Microsoft Excel. It is safe to say that by far, my favorite subjects are accounting and finance. I love to help individuals with accounting because I have learned it is more research and placement than it is math. In addition, I love solving problems. I am a critical thinker, therefore, I challenge others to use their analytical side of the brain more.My motto is "each one can reach one". Someone helped me and I owe it to them and myself to help others. We must remember to "pay it forward" whenever given the opportunity.
