For me, the best thing about tutoring is being able to teach the individual, rather than the group. Learning is about connecting new information to old information, and has to be based on the teacher understanding what the student already knows, and it's easier to develop this understanding when working with students individually. I have worked with young children for over sixteen years in a variety of roles and settings. Before becoming a public elementary school teacher, my experience included child/day care centers, Pre-Schools, after-school programs, private tutoring, substitute teaching, and owning and operating my own licensed child care center for several years. Educating children is my passion and all I have ever done!

Since as long ago as I can remember I have always been fascinated by the natural world. That childish fascination has not left me but deepened over the years. This interest has led me to my love of biology, ecology, animal behavior and evolution.
