For me, the best thing about tutoring is being able to teach the individual, rather than the group. Learning is about connecting new information to old information, and has to be based on the teacher understanding what the student already knows, and it's easier to develop this understanding when working with students individually. Tutoring is an opportunity to help students of all levels reach their full learning potential.
