I believe that education is the foundation for building a successful future. I have been interested in being a teacher since early middle school. I am currently in the process of receiving my degree and certification from North Carolina State University. I have taken a large portion of my classes through the Distance Education program so I am well-versed in virtual learning.

My teaching experience began when I was a teacher's aide while in college; I taught children in the Chapel Hill - Carrboro school system. After this, during my career as a software engineer, I had various mentoring roles. And recently I tutored at the Triangle Literary Council. Math and science are my favorite subjects. I often view math as fun puzzle solving. Aside from tutoring, I enjoy swimming, film, and reading.
