Hello! I am a Registered Nurse by trade, receiving my first degree, an Associates of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Leadership, in 2007 from the University of North Georgia. I completed my Bachelor's of Science in Nursing through Western Carolina University in 2018. I then completed a Master's in Nursing Education through the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2020.My area of expertise in Nursing is labor, delivery, postpartum, recovery, and newborn care. I currently work as an NCLEX Success Coach at Education Affiliates. I have also served as a patient and nurse educator, navigating patients through the hospital side of their labor and delivery experience, and nurses to train on certain aspects of the job.I am passionate about education and love to help tutor especially in health sciences or test prep areas. I am a firm believer that learning can be fun, and topics are best remembered when they are delivered creatively through as many senses as possible - auditory, visual, hand-on, and experientially, to name a few.

I have a bachelor's of music from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and I am pursuing a second bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from ASU online. Having made a major change in area of study, I am excited to take the experience I have from teaching music for about 8 years and apply it to helping others who are strengthening their foundation in mathematics and other fundamentals of engineering.

I have a curious heart and a passion for learning. I enjoy language, grammar and etymology, exploring the world, history and consciousness, and reading adventures, biographies and poetry. Harry Potter is my favorite, especially Prisoner of Azkaban and Half Blood Prince. I went to EE Waddell HS in Charlotte, NC, where I took 5 AP courses and 4 courses at the local community college. I participated in just about every extra curricular available, including National Honor Society (President), yearbook, volleyball, and I held down a part time job at a coffee shop. I graduated with a 4.25 GPA and went on to obtain my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and French after four years at UNC-Wilmington. I had the pleasure of spending one spring semester in Paris with ma mre d'accueil, Catherine and left dreaming of French phrases and traveling the world. I was also involved in Pi Delta Phi (French Honor Society) and UNCW's Yoga Club (VP); I loved being busy and organized through all my adventures. I also teach yoga and pranayama, or breath awareness, which is always helpful during test time!

Currently, I teach math full-time for the Denver Public School system. Prior to moving to Denver I acquired several years of experience as a mentor, substitute teacher, teaching assistant and researcher at the collegiate level. While in North Carolina I attended graduate school at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. I conducted my quantitative thesis research at UNCW--which focuses on how educational inequalities perpetuate variations in the ways that individual’s access, use and benefit from Information Communication Technologies (ICTs) & the Internet. Moreover, I completed my undergraduate studies at Binghamton University and, next fall, I plan on beginning a Doctoral program for Information Communication Studies or Sociology.For fun, I have many hobbies--most of which involve being active outdoors and spending time with my friends and family. This past summer I spent a lot of time paddle-boarding at Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina—until I moved to Colorado. In August, I finished my move to Colorado and I have spent most of my leisure-time enjoying the outdoors: golfing, running and hiking.

I graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a degree in mathematics and am current pursuing a masters degree in secondary education at the University of North Carolina Charlotte. Teaching is my true passion. Before I became a teacher I was a private tutor in Wilmington, NC. I was also a tutor for UNCW athletics. I have 3 years of experience tutoring a wide array of math topics such as algebra, calculus, and geometry. In addition to that, I have three years of teaching experience in all high school math topics including AP calculus AB. Working with people and math are two of my favorite things and I am truly passionate about what I do!

I am an alumna of The University of North Carolina-Wilmington and I have a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology. I am currently working towards my Masters in Elementary Education. I attained my Bachelor of Arts in English at UNC Wilmington this past spring. I have a bounty of experience working with students, with a colorful background including ski instruction and lifeguarding. I tutor in all things English, from literature and writing to essay writing and revisions.
