My passion is reading and inspiring a love of words and literature in students. I believe that strong reading skills are fundamental to engaging with the world around us and open up new worlds for our imaginations. Outside of academics, I enjoy traveling, learning new languages, and participating in community theater.

Over the years I have had many experiences in many venues, from homeschooling mother to greenhouse worker, from high school teacher to online tutor. My philosophy of education is that the teacher's job is to help the student find and develop their own unique strengths, talents, and potential.
