If you're completing your bachelor's degree in finance at the University of Indianapolis or Butler University, or you are already working in the field and you're ready to get your certification, Varsity Tutors can set you up with Indianapolis CFA prep. Qualified instructors are ready to help you review the content of the Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) exams. You can choose to participate in an online course or work one-on-one with a private instructor. Earning your CFA credential requires passing the Level I, II, and III exams in sequential order. Each is scored as "pass" or "did not pass." You won't know which questions you answered wrong, so it is important to build your knowledge and skill set so you can perform at your best.
What Topics Does Indianapolis CFA Prep Cover?
Indianapolis CFA preparation provides a comprehensive overview of all the topics covered on the tests. Your instructor, who has been interviewed to ensure they are experienced, knowledgeable, and communicative, can review ethical and professional standards related to the field of finance. Other topics that can be covered include quantitative methods, economics, financial reporting and analysis, corporate finance, portfolio management, equity investments, fixed income, derivatives, and alternative investments. That may sound like a lot, but a good review of topics you may not have covered in awhile can refresh your mind and fill in any gaps in understanding.
Level I is split into two 3-hour sessions, with a total of 240 multiple-choice questions. You may be in your final year of college when you take it, or have worked full-time in the industry for at least four years. A combination of college and work experience is accepted as well. For Level II, you must have completed your bachelor's degree. It includes 18 vignettes, or case statements with six questions each, as well as three vignettes with four questions apiece. Level III consists of constructed responses that must be delivered in essay format on 8 to 12 questions, and vignettes with sets of questions that are based on case statements and select topics.
Your instructor can spend a good deal of time on topic review. They can also focus on the exam format, which is an important part of Indianapolis CFA prep. Applying your knowledge takes practice, as the questions may require a significant degree of analysis. Your instructor can provide practice tests and offer insights into becoming more efficient during the test. For example, you may be able to eliminate certain answers or find clues in the questions that help you identify selections that fit best.
What Are the Advantages of Indianapolis CFA Test Prep?
The first type of CFA prep that Varsity Tutors can provide for you is an Indianapolis CFA prep class. Each class session takes place online via a Live Learning Platform. This includes video chat and a virtual whiteboard that enables you, your instructor, and peers to interact as if they were in the room together. You can interact and collaborate in real-time to answer questions and work together on projects. There are opportunities to ask questions as well, but when you don't understand a particular topic, you can request one-on-one assistance from your instructor.
Private tutoring is the other option. When you work with an Indianapolis CFA prep tutor, the instructor can start by assessing your level of understanding, regardless of what topic you request help with. Lessons can be structured based on your areas of opportunity, learning style, and individual goals. Your private mentor can apply different teaching methods and study aids and provide constant feedback to track your progress. Best of all, the tutor can work at your pace without rushing to complete a course syllabus.
For many students, one method or the other works best. Some students choose to combine an online Indianapolis CFA prep course with private instruction. Your approach to test prep is totally up to you.

Brad: Indianapolis CFA test prep instructor
I enjoy helping students learn material in a way they can remember and apply in future coursework.... Perseverance trumps brilliance every time. Ask questions and work hard, and there's nothing you won't be able to understand.... I would begin by asking a few questions to see where a student is. I would then provide a useful note sheet and go over a refresher of some of the concepts we would be focusing on.
