I believe education brings independence of thought. My intention is not to tell people what to think but to assist them to identify resources, analyze them and arrive at independent conclusions. I also seek to help individuals express themselves both verbally and in writing in the most informed and effective way. To have knowledge is to be free to identify prejudice and propaganda in all aspects of communication.

My background is in literature, particularly that of the 19th century. I'm especially fond of Victorians and modernists, such as Oscar Wilde and James Joyce, though I also enjoy American Gothic, particularly the works of Flannery O'Connor and Edgar Allan Poe. My goal is to provide assistance with any questions you might have and to work with you to answer those questions. I'm happy to discuss literature, essay/academic writing, thesis statements, and more!

I am a dedicated life long learner myself, and in doing so I bring that enthusiasm into my teaching style. My focus is on helping learners achieve a passion for education through accomplishments, and the developed of analytical and critical skills that make learning fun.

A part of my passion for education deals with my love for children and I plan to be a pediatric speech therapist upon receiving my Master's degree in May 2019. I enjoy being active and outdoors for the most part but I also believe that down time and personal wellness is very important!

I am an incoming first year medical student with a passion for science and learning. I graduated from Florida State University, and hope to pursue a career in pediatric oncology. Some of my interests include baking, playing with my dog, and reading.

I know what it's like to struggle in school. I enjoy tutoring especially after I learned to work through a difficult subject successfully. I believe in making things simple and easy to understand. I've studied hard all of my life and have learned how to study smarter instead.

I am a current Music Recording Technology major at FingerLakes Community College. I formerly attended the University of Rochester for Audio and Music Engineering. I have a passion for creativity, writing, music, and recording. I also enjoy the outdoors, videogames, and science. I have experience volunteering to teach elementary school students, coaching high-school athletes, and helping friends with classwork.
