I strive to make a personal connection with all my students as I believe it informs how I instruct them. My primary topics are German, linguistics, and ESL. My secondary topics are essay and academic writing, math up through calculus, and philosophy.

I am a MD PhD from Germany who has been living and working in the US now for more than 2.5 yrs. I love teaching students, seeing them improve themselves while learning. Nothing makes teaching more worth it than creating that spark in a students eye, because he/she either really understood something or is just fascinated with the topic and wants to know more.

I am passionate about sharing my love of languages with students of all ages in a patient, encouraging and engaging tutoring approach. I grew up in a bilingual home and studied languages (grammar and literature), linguistics and psychology and completed a post-grad in higher education. I believe that being a good tutor also means being a good listener!
