Languages Tutoring review by Isabelle in Vancouver, WA
We did conversation French. I included present and passe compose tenses, and definite and indefinite articles (au, du a la). The student wrote sentences and I checked the spelling. Next time we need to work on negative sentences and place of adverbs in the sentence, and more conjugation. I need to bring a handout about false friends nouns.

Languages Tutoring review by Kaitlyn in Vancouver, WA
The student and I got a lot of work done. We started working on numbers again, and we rolled dice to come up with random numbers that she then wrote down in French to practice. Some points of the session were slow, and I had to cajole her into doing the work, but she participated for the whole session, which is a huge improvement. I hope the jumps we made keep happening.

Languages Tutoring review by Sayaka in Vancouver, WA
The student had question about grammar (when you use more than two adjectives in one sentence, adjectives change forms). We went through this grammar topic and made a few sentences after for practice. We also went through a homework in which the student has to describe himself in Japanese.

Languages Tutoring review by Aleksey in Vancouver, WA
We reviewed the polite forms of verbs for present/future and past and their negatives. We also did speaking practice with age, occupation, and school terms. We got through half of the vocabulary on page 58. We then learned the days of the week. I suggested pages 14-15 as extra practice with numbers and times in Hiragana.

Languages Tutoring review by Yamato in Vancouver, WA
The student and I covered asking someone for permission to do something and how to tell someone below you to not do something. The student struggled most with remembering some of the review words that were on the longer side. We will continue to work on this. However, her pronunciation is continuously getting better. I left her with another set of vocab words. I think I will give her a test soon so that she can start remembering things better.

Languages Tutoring review by Rei in Vancouver, WA
We spent the first 20 minutes reviewing the 15 hiragana that the student has learned so far. We then reviewed counting (he has learned the words and pattern for 1-99). Afterwards, I introduced how to say the day of the week in Japanese and the associated phrases (e.g., what day/ date is today/ yesterday/ tomorrow?). We finished by going over 5 more hiragana.
