When I first took Java programming for my software engineering degree, I was completely lost and had no idea what I was doing. By the grace of God, a tutor was able to point me in the right direction concerning my homework and projects. After getting a master degree in software engineering, I have come back to help students who are now in the situation that I once was.

I've enjoyed every subject I've taught, because many of the sciences are so closely interconnected. Math and Algebra are the alphabet and the words of the sciences. My favorite subjects to tutor are all levels of Calculus, Algebra, and Discrete Math - although I do not have any limitations as to the areas outside of my favorites! My philosophy in tutoring is not just getting the student to answer a specific question, but actually to understand the subject in hand and be able to generalize that knowledge to novel problems.

I love to see the light bulb click on. When the student finally grasps, understands, and comprehends the math after so much struggle makes it rewarding for both....
