I am a Las Vegas native whose educational journey began in math and science magnet programs before attending Advanced Technologies Academy (A-Tech) as a Business and Finance major. I went on to earn a degree in journalism with an emphasis in public relations and corporate communication and a minor in business management from Utah State University. I participated in three semesters abroad including studying business and innovative design in Switzerland and business at the University of Ghana (West Africa) and University of Botswana (Southern Africa).

My teaching career began in New York City as a Teach For America corps member, and since then I have taught in New York City, Minneapolis, and Las Vegas across a wide range of grades and subjects, including 3rd and 4th grade Special Education (all subjects), 5th grade (all subjects), 6th and 7th grade Reading, 8th grade Humanities, 9th Grade Literature I Honors, 12th Grade AP Language and Composition, 12th Grade Literature IV Honors, and 12th Grade African American History. I am committed to equipping students with rigorous academics, cultural awareness, and the confidence to thrive in college, career, and life.
