With over 23 years of experience, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of complex forensic concepts and the ability to translate these into impactful learning experiences for students from diverse backgrounds.

My academic journey, including a Master of Behavioral and Social Sciences in Criminal Justice from North Carolina Central University, a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Ohio State University, and an Associate of Applied Science in Forensics from Central Ohio Technical College, has provided me with a solid foundation in both the theoretical and practical aspects of forensic science. I have further honed my skills through various professional roles, including my current position as an Adjunct Professor at the University of the District of Columbia, where I mentor and guide students.

Throughout my career, I have developed and delivered curriculum for law enforcement professionals, authored training materials, and provided expert testimony in court. My role as a Crime Scene Investigator for the Durham Police Department included developing innovative training programs to improve the recruitment and retention of female officers, as well as establishing critical programs like the "Start by Believing" initiative for sensitive case investigations. These experiences have equipped me with the skills to simplify complex subjects, inspire critical thinking, and create engaging, student-centered learning environments.

Additionally, my time as a Senior Fraud Loss Prevention Specialist at Discover Financial Services taught me the importance of analytical thinking and effective communication in educational settings, as I guided colleagues through the intricacies of regulatory compliance and risk management.
