Since becoming a teacher I have really enjoyed trying to make a positive, mathematical impact on students' lives. In my twenty years I have taught math and science at the middle school level for 6 years, and high school math for 14 years. I consider myself to have a very strong algebraic, geometric and analytical mind.
My students tell me that I have a good sense of humor, I keep lessons light and manageable, and that I am very approachable. I enjoy building relationships with my students. It's good to know what the students enjoy outside of school and what makes them "tick" mathematically and personally. The highlight of my teaching is always when my students reach that "aha" moment, where they "get it."
Undergraduate Degree: Eastern Michigan University - Bachelor of Science, Mathematics

In my spare time I enjoy playing golf with my new friends in Georgia and playing pickleball. I'm kind of new to the pickleball scene, but I did play competitive tennis in high school and more recently coached JV tennis for eleven years. My dogs take up a lot of time as well, they are used to their daily two mile walks.
