I graduated from the University of East London having studied Business Economics. I worked as a Secondary School teacher, teaching Maths from KS2 - GCSE levels and have now been a professional tutor for 10 years. In that time, I have tutored pupils ranging in age from 5 to 18, and have had particular success preparing my students for Queen Elizabeth Boys, Henrietta Barnett Girls, Haberdashers, Belmont, Immanuel and St Pauls 11+ school exams.
I have helped students improve their low predicted GCSE Maths grades to high grades 7-8.
I have an empathetic and patient approach to tutoring which enables me to assess my students and create a personalised study plan for them. I model my answers while making complex concepts simple to understand. I have been commended by parents, and peers for my nurturing teaching style which inspires my students to hit their grades. I have experience working with students with Special Educational Needs.
I have been fortunate to travel to many European countries and enjoy learning about different customs and cultures. I am an avid reader of history and philosophy, and so am able to confidently converse on it. I am also able to converse in Hindi and Urdu fluently. I enjoy travelling, playing football, cricket, boxing and running.
