As someone with a background in electrical and biomedical engineering, with a Ph.D. in magnetic resonance from Duke University, I firmly believe that math is important in the formation of a future engineer. I have taught math in the past with some very good results, such as students coming in with borderline scores and starting to get 8's. After working for quite a few years in hospitals and in industry, in 2015, I was diagnosed with transverse myelitis, which left me paralyzed waist down for some time. Right now I can walk with a cane and am looking for a lighter load, and hence my passion for teaching has reemerged. At this stage of my life, I believe I can be helpful to students. My hobbies include classical music, languages.
