I was born and raised in Arkansas but moved to New York City several years ago to attend graduate school at New York University where I received my Master's degree in TESOL in 2011. I have been teaching college classes focusing on reading and writing for the City University of New York ever since, and I truly love my job. I am one of those people who, when they are very old, will say, "I never worked a day in my life!"
Teaching has always been my passion and I am so happy for the opportunity to assist students both in the classroom and in more private tutoring sessions. I pride myself in being an understanding and approachable instructor and love when students have questions for me, but I am always happy to take charge and guide the direction of my students' learning if they aren't sure where they'd like to begin.
This means that whether you're a student who knows exactly what you want to study and how you want to do it or if you're someone who would rather have your tutor lead the direction of the lessons, I think we could work together well. No matter your learning style, I look forward to helping you reach your goals!
