I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Cleveland State University, where I have also received some graduate education in Environmental Science. I also have an Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from Cuyahoga Community College.
I have taught up to 35 graduate and undergraduate students at a time in ecology and biology courses. I also tutored students, from freshman to PhD candidates, in one-on-one sessions. I also gave extra-curricular seminars on science writing.
Biology and ecology are my favorite subjects to tutor. I believe that each student should be familiar with these subjects so that they may apply them to decision making for their personal health and as good citizens. The scientific method provides a great framework for thinking that is also applicable in other areas of life.
I believe that approaching a subject based on a student’s interest is the best way to encourage learning and curiosity.
In my spare time I enjoy hiking, reading, painting, knitting, crochet, and playing with my dog.
