I graduate from West Virginia Wesleyan College with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. In addition, I have a Master of Liberal Arts from Mary Washington University. I currently teach ninth grade English but I have taught grades 7-12 at one time or another during my 26 years of teaching. For the past two years I tutored a young man in English for grades 7 and 8. I have home schooled my own children for 8 years. I have been awarded Reading Teacher of the Year for my school and have received the literacy award as well. I have experience in both public and private schools. I enjoy working one-on-one with students. I am able to design curriculum to meet the needs of my students.

I enjoy reading, playing video games, coloring, and crafting.
