Tutoring review by Connor in South Dakota
For our final session, the student and I went over the semester review worksheet. Some of the older material proved a bit difficult for her, but after some review lessons, she was able to remember how to solve the problems. I advised her to continue reviewing the vocabulary, and get comfortable using geometric theorems. It has been a pleasure tutoring her this semester!

We prepared for a test on Chapter 6. The chapter is on triangles, specifically perpendicular and angle bisector theorems, medians, altitudes, circumcenter, incenter, centroid, orthocenter, midsegment triangle, side lengths, angles, and the inequality theorem. We completed the chapter review. This chapter has many definitions and details that we summarized to review prior to taking the exam.

Reviewed material from a past quiz/test and then worked through review packet on various topics focused primarily on trig and associated problems as this was the stuff the student felt he was weakest on. Following this focused on rate problems as this was an area I saw he was struggling a little.

Today for this session we went over chapter two in preparation for the student's test on Tuesday of next week. First, we went over how to use variables. He was excellent at manipulating equations to solve for certain variables. We also worked on coming up with equations and solving for variables using information given in word problems. The student should practice over the weekend, and he will be ready for his test.

Tutoring review by Lincoln in South Dakota
We reviewed, and then started with understanding prime numbers and how to determine if a number is prime. Prime factorization of numbers, review of exponents and rules of exponents, powers of 2, powers of 10, negative exponents, developing number sense, and finished with applications of mathematics and exponentiation in fields beyond mathematics, particularly when we discussed orders of magnitude and how that applied to exponentiation. I left her with some practice of determining prime factorizations of numbers that she is familiar with. Parent informed me that she is performing better in many areas since I began tutoring her not only in math, but also in spelling, and her enjoyment of reading has markedly increased.

Tutoring review by David in South Dakota
I went over the student's homework with her, and corrected any problems she did incorrectly. Then we reviewed a little with arithmetic with negative numbers. Afterwards, we over multiplying and dividing with fractions, including negative fractions. Toward the end, we also covered adding and subtracting of fractions with the same denominator. I left the student with some extra practice to work on at home.
