I am a recent graduate from Hamline University, with a BFA in Creative Writing and a minor in English. During my time at Hamline, I worked as an in-class reading tutor for elementary school students. I believe strongly in the importance of language and literature, and am excited to help students succeed academically in those areas.

I am licensed for 9-12 Life Science education as well as 5-8 Science. I am currently working on my masters of education with an emphasis on natural science and environmental education at Hamline University.

I am an experienced physician assistant (PA) educator and clinician. I enjoy working with students to help them meet and obtain their professional goals. I work with students to identify their preferred learning style and areas for improvement.

I am a recent graduate from Hamline University in Saint Paul and I studied Chemistry and Secondary Education to become a high school chemistry teacher. Due to my studies at Hamline University, I have a working knowledge of learning styles and I know how to create a learning environment that will fit a student's specific needs. This could look like being hands on with grouping in division with a tactile learner or using a visual grouping method in division with a visual learner.

I am a current graduate teaching assistant at the University of Kentucky. My research at Kentucky is focused on injury mitigation in firefighters. I have undergraduate and graduate course work in anatomy and physiology, exercise physiology, performance analytics, and research methods. I have previous undergraduate course work in intro biology, algebra-based physics, genetics, and cell biology. In addition, I have experience in scientific writing as well as grant writing.

I am originally from Oaxaca, Mexico and have lived in the United States for the past six years. While living in Mexico, I helped hundreds of students from around the world with their Spanish- working with a local University. Today I'm a Spanish substitute teacher in middle and high schools in Woodbury,MN.
