Today we talked about Graphing of Exponential Functions and the meaning of Inverse Functions. We reviewed how to graph basic functions with its appropriate transformations as well as reverse the definition of a function. We also worked together on some of the problems of a practice worksheet that I created prior and gave the rest of the worksheet to the student as additional practice. The practice included evaluating functions at specified values, graphing of exponential functions, solving exponential equations and compound interest. He was pretty invested in our tutoring session and enjoyed talking about math concepts in depth.

The student worked on her math homework, which covered some review topics including area and fractions. Then we went through some practice problems involving range, mean, median, and mode. I'm trying to include more review during her sessions, which I think will be a great method to boost her confidence as the math she's learning becomes more challenging.

Today, we covered force calculations, including F = ma, unit conversion, the difference between matter and weight, calculating weight, and normal force. The student has improved a lot in his mathematical reasoning skills and can use algebra to figure out Physics problems. He was getting a lot of Physics problems correct today without my help. However, there is a lot of room for improvement in terms of speed but that can be improved with practice.
