About Me
I am a sophomore at Cornell University in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations (ILR). I graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School as a Law & Society major, and have lived in Manhattan my entire life. I also played baseball and soccer competitively in high school. My main tutoring focus is algebra, which I enjoy teaching because it builds the foundation for success in more advanced math courses. My primary teaching experience comes from working as a lead teacher at NORY, a STEM-based summer camp. In that role, I managed classroom environments for children ages 8-12 while delivering inquiry-driven STEM lessons. These included introducing core physics concepts and beginner coding with platforms like Scratch through hands-on maker projects. In addition, I've spent significant time tutoring my younger sister in high school and middle school math. I love tutoring because it's rewarding to see students gain confidence and feel a sense of accomplishment as they improve. My approach is to connect with students personally and create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where they feel comfortable learning.
