The GMAT, or Graduate Management Admission Test, is a standardized exam created by business schools with the intention of measuring a potential student's ability to handle the rigor and difficulty of an MBA program. Over 7000 MBA and masters programs trust the GMAT as a means to determine admissions. With 200,000 other candidates taking this exam each year worldwide, it's critical to do everything you can to set yourself apart from the crowd. Seattle GMAT prep is an excellent resource for reviewing the skills necessary to perform at your best on the GMAT.
What does Seattle GMAT prep cover?
The GMAT is comprised of four distinct sections, each of which determines a student's ability to use logical thinking in various contexts. The four sections of the exam are the Analytical Writing Assessment, the Integrated Reasoning section, the Verbal Reasoning section, and the Quantitative Reasoning section. Throughout these individual parts of the exam, you'll to be able to showcase your critical thinking and analytical skills. The GMAT takes over three hours to complete and each section has a different time limit. You'll get the opportunity to make a decision about which sequence to take the sections when you arrive so you'll want to look at the pros and cons of various orders. Let's take a closer look at the skills needed in each section.
The Analytical Writing Assessment consists of one essay question in which you will need to evaluate a given argument with clearly presented and organized ideas. With only 30 minutes to write, you'll want to have brushed up on your ability to develop and present your thoughts quickly and efficiently.
The 30-minute Integrated Reasoning section has 12 questions assessing your ability to find and evaluate relationships between various sources of graphical data. The questions in this section are often multi-step and must be answered in full to receive credit. GMAT prep for this portion of the exam can include table analysis, graphics interpretation, multi-source reasoning, and two-part analysis.
The next section evaluates your Quantitative Reasoning skills with 31 questions and a 62-minute time limit. You'll need to use both logic and mathematics skills to solve problems in this section. Practicing these kinds of questions under instructional supervision can help you gain the confidence needed to get through this section.
The final section is the Verbal Reasoning part of the exam and measures one's reading comprehension, sentence construction, and critical reasoning skills with 36 questions. This is the longest section and is allotted 65 minutes for completion. Review for this section can include practice with drawing conclusions from passages and being able to identify main and supporting ideas.
No matter what skills you want to improve, formal GMAT review can help.

You also have the opportunity to speak with your peers and participate in group activities and discussions to enhance your study time. If you prefer to study with a more flexible and independent approach, a private Seattle GMAT tutor may be the right answer for you. You'll be able to schedule your sessions for the time which best suits your needs and have access to lessons focused on your exact areas of need. You can skip sentence correction lessons if you've mastered this skill and move straight to working on how to solve complex integration problems.

I have a passion for helping others set and exceed their personal goals. I believe learning is lifelong and is best achieved in an environment that is trusting, professional, and comfortable. I believe the right skills and confidences can change lives, and am ready to help contribute to that in any way possible!... Teaching is best accomplished in a setting that is supportive, engaging, and trusting. These attributes help build confidence and excitement about learning, and prime students with the interest and desire to succeed. The most successful teachers seek out opportunities to build up their students through helping them define their own goals and work to reach and exceed them; further, they understand and foster the mentality in their students that goals are continuously changing in complexity, and gradation as the student develops new tools and capabilities.
