What can I study during Jacksonville GMAT prep?
There are four main sections to the GMAT. These sections are Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, Integrated Reasoning, and the Analytical Writing Assessment. To help you understand the layout of each section, let's examine the sections in detail.
The Quantitative Reasoning section requires you to answer questions that are based on objective data. These questions require you to utilize your mathematical and logical reasoning abilities to address problems. While some questions ask you to pick the correct answer to a particular problem, other questions may ask you to evaluate whether there is enough data to properly answer the question. There are 31 questions in the Quantitative Reasoning section, and you will have 62 minutes to complete it. Both the Quantitative Reasoning and Verbal Reasoning sections are scored from 0 to 60. All questions are in the multiple-choice format.
In the Verbal Reasoning section of the GMAT, you will encounter 36 questions over the 65 minutes of the section. These questions are all multiple-choice questions. You must answer questions that require you to understand and analyze written data. To succeed in this section, you must reason critically, understand arguments, use your ability to form inferences from the data, and see logical relationships. Additionally, you need to understand the conventions of English grammar and usage.
During the Integrated Reasoning section, you must solve problems that are based on several types of data. Whether from graphs, tables, numbers, or text, these questions require a complex understanding of the data. While some of the 12 questions are based around one data source, several will ask you to synthesize data from several sources at once. This sort of thinking allows you to address complex questions. This section is scored from 1 to 8 and takes 30 minutes to complete.
During the Analytical Writing Assessment, you will encounter a passage that makes an argument. After you read the piece, you must evaluate which parts of that argument were effective. Then, you will write a response that details your findings in a well-structured, organized method. You must support your reasoning with evidence from the original piece. In this section, you must display your ability to argue effectively, structure your writing, and understand someone else's argument. This section allows you half an hour to finish, and your score will range from 0 to 6.

Additionally, if you need extra help, you can schedule an online meeting with your instructor outside of the class time.

After home-schooling my way through high school, I went to Stanford, receiving a B.S. in Biology, and a minor in pre-med, so I'm quite strong with science. Similarly, have 12 years of experience with the SAT, ACT, and ISEE/SSAT, and about 4 years of...... My teaching philosophy is simple. I find academic topics interesting, and I try to infect my students with my own interest. It's very hard to learn something when you find it boring, and it's very hard to persevere with a topic you find boring. So, I just try to make it fun and interesting. After all, as I often say, mastery is not just understanding the content, but understanding yourself as well. This experience makes me a particularly potent instructor as...... My approach is to first understand my client’s goals. From there I work to establish a solid framework based on good fundamentals. I seek to duplicate test conditions as much as possible, and prepare my clients for the typical tricks and traps used by test makers.
