Education is about relationships; accepting, discussing, discovering, and recounting, and the best part of being a teacher is being the catalyst between relationships and knowledge. My educational philosophy is the tie that binds students to discovery through exposure to ideas, cultures, and concepts, once only thought of as foreign.

I am an experienced tutor specializing in high school and college-age materials, including standardized tests such as the ACT and SAT. I believe that the ultimate goal of teaching is to enable to student to function independently of the tutor. Therefore, I instill in my students not only an understanding of the core subject matter, but also key skills such as critical thinking and logic.

I specialize in tutoring economics, politics, writing, reading, critical thinking, SAT/GRE, and a few other subjects. I studied International Economics at Georgetown as an undergraduate and am currently completing my graduate studies in International Security there now as well. I take a flexible, customized approach with each student to be sure that the time we have together focuses is most efficiently spent. Outside of tutoring and school, I rock climb, cycle, and run regularly.
