What can Milwaukee LSAT prep help me review?
The LSAT is a comprehensive exam that is composed of four main sections: Logical Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, and Writing. The test will measure your proficiency in reading comprehension, your ability to evaluate arguments, as well as isolate and analyze meaning in a text, among other things. The test is administered on digital tablets that will be provided for you at your test center. The LSAT Writing will be taken online separately from the LSAT multiple-choice test questions. Candidates will have one year from the data of the original LSAT to complete the Writing section. Let's take a closer look at the four core test sections to give you better insight into the topics and concepts you can expect to encounter on exam day.
The Logical Reasoning section will ask you questions that refer to text-based passages. In order to adequately answer these questions, you must be able to comprehend the argument presented, identify the different parts of the argument, such as its claims and any evidence presented, and identify any assumptions or flaws made within the text, among other things. The passages in the questions may come from newspapers, scholarly publications, advertisements, and informal discourse.
In the Analytical Reasoning Section, you will be presented with a premise and a series of rules or conditions. Utilizing the guidelines given, you must use deductive reasoning to reach a conclusion. This section employs puzzles and logic games that represent real-life situations. Certain facts will be left out, and you will be tasked with making certain deductions based on the facts that you do have.
Finally, the Writing section is an opportunity to show admissions counselors that you are capable of formulating a well-reasoned, persuasive argument. You will be presented with a decision problem that asks you to choose between two positions and defend your choice.
While this section is unscored, both analyzing arguments and formulating compelling arguments are essential components of legal work and will be tested heavily in law school. Excelling in this section may give you an edge in the admissions process.
How can Milwaukee LSAT prep help me prepare for the exam?
Preparing for a comprehensive standardized exam can be an arduous task, especially if you don't know where to begin. Varsity Tutors offers you the opportunity to work directly with a private tutor or in an online classroom with other students. Here we will break down the unique benefits that each type of test prep can offer you.
At this stage in your academic career, classroom-style learning is probably quite familiar to you. Enrolling in a Milwaukee LSAT prep class allows you to learn from an expert instructor alongside fellow students in a virtual classroom. Studying with peers is a great way to diversify your learning style by sharing strategies, ideas, and troubleshooting when you hit a dead end. Having a social support system built into your studies is a great way to maintain enthusiasm and motivation as you work through your LSAT review. When you study in a Milwaukee LSAT prep class, you can also schedule one-on-one time with your instructor to work on concepts or question types that may be giving you pause. If you're struggling with the Analytical Reasoning portion of the exam, you and your instructor can use your scheduled time to break down the structure of logic games by evaluating the components and guidelines piece by piece. You can also use the group setting to work with others who might have similar areas of need. With new two- and four-week class sessions starting weekly, you can jump in whenever your schedule permits.
If you prefer customized instruction explicitly tailored to your areas of opportunity, working with a Milwaukee LSAT tutor might better suit your needs. Your instructor can meet you online or in-person to ensure maximum flexibility. Working one-on-one with an instructor allows you to adapt your study plan as your needs shift. If you feel like you've sufficiently mastered the skills needed to excel in the Reading Comprehension section, you can immediately move on to your next area of need.

I tutor the LSAT because I know it's a hard test and I know what it's like to struggle with it. However I also understand the process necessary to produce better scores, and nothing is more satisfying to me than helping someone achieve what seemed impossible a few months ago.... Your score is a product of so many factors--your understanding of the material, your speed, even how accurately you bubble answers--but in the end it all comes down to whether you studied the test from every angle and put in the time necessary to get the results you want.
