I'm Ari! I just wrapped up my first year of medical school and am happy to return to tutoring over summer break. During my gap year, I tutored full-time through Varsity, helping over 40 students succeed on the MCAT. I have a passion for teaching and helping make science clear.

I hold 2 undergrad degrees: a B.A. in English, magna cum laude, from Loyola University, as well as a B.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology, summa cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

In addition to being a tutor, I currently work as an assistant researcher in a human oncology lab out of the Wisconsin Institute for Medical Research.

I have taken both the GRE and the MCAT, and scored at or above the 95th percentile on both; I have an extensive understanding of how to prepare for and excel at standardized tests.

My teaching style is individualized and student-oriented: I will tailor lectures to your specific learning methods. I'm a very visual learner myself, so I like to use images, real-world examples, and animations to ensure that you will truly UNDERSTAND the rationale for each step of the problem-solving method.

MCAT sessions will emphasize practice with real AAMC passages as well as reviewing concepts. I will teach you tips, tricks, strategies, and patterns to watch out for that I have combed years of AAMC material to find.
