I am a UC Berkeley student double majoring in Psychology and Art Practice, expected to graduate in May of 2026. I have been tutoring kids for eight years now, and have always found it fun and rewarding. I do my best to make learning engaging and approachable, so it feels interesting rather than like a chore. I hold a Ph.D in Special Education with a focus on Autism from the University of North Texas at Dallas and bring 25 years of teaching experience, including 15 years working directly in special education. My passion is teaching struggling students how to read while instilling in them a love of reading. In my experience using a systematic, mulit-sensory phonics approach to teach reading has proven most successful. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and traveling with my family.
